Here are a few images of the car, packed preliminarily. Were I to do this trip again, I would do it completely differently. Teysia and I have done several road trips since then, including another cross country move in the Fiesta, and we've definitely learned how to do it well. I was also a cross-country tour leader in 2016, only allowed to have the space under the back row of seats in the van for my things - I can pack light (I even took about 3-4x too much stuff on that season).
So here are a few images of what we packed and how, though these are before rearranging at my mum's.
You can see tool boxes in there - I took all my bike tools, as we later added 3 bikes to the back of the car. Dog food and human food in the back there, where the seats fold down.
I bought solar panels and a big battery so that we could blog as we went - what a joke that was. We carried the thing back and forth from the car to the tent every night to charge laptops/cameras/phones. Nick did use it for editing photos, though, so I guess someone got some use out of it. His blog from the trip: newlandsnewbeginnings.tumblr.com Next time, I'd just use an outlet converter or have a full van rig with proper solar.
